Capitol Floats Sacramento, founded in 2016, is a holistic wellness center that specializes in float therapy and complementary recovery treatments. Located in Sacramento's Oak Park neighborhood, Capitol Floats offers float therapy, infrared sauna, cold plunge therapy, and advanced meditation experiences, all designed to promote deep restoration and resilience. In addition to float tanks, Capitol Floats offers a Fire & Ice Room, where guests alternate between an infrared sauna and cold plunge immersion. They also have a Somadome, which combines color therapy, binaural beats, and energy-healing tiles to promote whole-person alignment and profound restoration. Float therapy, also known as restricted environmental stimulation therapy (REST), involves resting in a private tank filled with warm water and over 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. This zero-gravity environment eliminates external noise and light, allowing the mind and body to enter a deeply restorative state. Many participants report improved sleep, reduced anxiety, and heightened creativity after sessions lasting 60 to 90 minutes. Capitol Floats also has a post-float communal room available for clients to relax and extend the experience, and to engage in creative pursuits or have a cup of complementary tea. Capitol Floats has four floatation chambers and is open seven days a week. Each room contains a shower area adjoining the float chamber, a bench to place your clothes and belongings on, a robe, earplugs, towels, and a head/neck floating pillow. Within the chamber, you have the ability to turn off the soft blue light, as well as to turn off the piped in music.
